Rev. Allen Bauer
I am Pastor Allen Bauer and will be helping the Trinity family through the vacancy. Some of you might know me because I have filled in preaching at Trinity while Pastor Tim took some time off. I “retired” from full time ministry over 10 years ago. Although I have served some congregations full time since then, while the congregations were going through pastoral vacancies. I “retired” from a congregation in Houston after serving there for over 20 years. I have enjoyed being able to still use my God given spiritual gifts to serve the church and God. I have served congregations in my retirement in Sugar Land, Houston, California, Oregon, and Frankfurt Germany. My wife and I are looking forward to being with the family of Trinity in the coming months. Most Sundays I will be preaching and coming to Weatherford once during the week. I have been married to over 50 years to my wife, Benita. She is a great help to me in ministry and you will see her around the congregation. We met each other our first year in college at Concordia Bronxville New York, and married right before going to seminary in St. Louis Missouri. We have four grown children. Two live in Texas and two live in Oregon. We moved about three years ago to the Fort Worth area to be closer to our grandchildren in Keller. We have seven grandchildren. Three live in the Keller area and four live in Oregon. If you are wondering how two of the children got to Oregon it was because of family situations. Our one son married a wonderful wife from Oregon, and he attended Concordia University Portland with her and stayed in the area. He is a Lutheran school teacher. Our other son in Oregon followed his wife who works for Oregon State University. My hope and prayer is that as we go through the “call” process together I will be able to help you prepare for your new pastor. I know that God knows who that new pastor will be but it will be a process that we can learn and grow together. It will take time but we have great and gracious God who will be walking with us every step of the way. |

Hi, I'm Beth!
I graduated from Concordia University - St. Paul in May of 2020 and made the cross-country move to Weatherford to begin serving at Trinity that June. Born during my dad's pastoral vicarage in Missouri led to a childhood of following his calls. However, when I was still young we landed in the incredible state of Kansas at a church plant where we stayed until I graduated. Before heading to college, I volunteered for two years with a traveling relational and music ministry team called Captive Free. Through that experience I not only met my awesome husband Sam, but was also compelled to follow the call of life in professional ministry, which is how we wound up here! I love my two pups, playing board games, and eating pizza with pineapple (to Sam's dismay). |
